Carbon Coated Aluminum Foil
Carbon-coated aluminum foil is a battery current collector that lowers interfacial resistance, improves adhesion between the active material and the foil, and enhances electron transport.
Carbon-coated aluminum foil is a surface-modified current collector for lithium-ion batteries, consisting of a thin conductive carbon layer deposited on aluminum foil. The carbon coating reduces interfacial contact resistance, improves adhesion between the active material and the current collector, and enhances electron transport. As a result, CCAF can deliver better rate capability, longer cycle life, lower heat generation, and improved resistance to electrolyte corrosion, especially in high-voltage systems. It is widely considered for LFP cathodes, high-power batteries, high-energy ternary systems, and dry-electrode manufacturing
